IceNarcissus Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I could see those lights from Mount Seymour, and not even on the mountain, just the neighbourhood!
Torchbearer AA Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Amazing the lights. Will that be every night during the Games? Or is it a part of a rehearsal of the Opening ceremony?
4gamesandcounting Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Wow wow wow. Vancouver I can't wait to see you! Is that Robson place in those last few pics?
memorabilia Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Wow wow wow. Vancouver I can't wait to see you! Is that Robson place in those last few pics? yes Robson Square or GE Plaza... call it as you want !
mr.x Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Yes, that's Robson Square and it'll be like that every light. There are two sets of spotlights: English Bay and Robson Square.
drowninginair Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Apparently the Vectorial Vancouver site will be going live within a couple hours: http://www.vectorialvancouver.net/
mr.x Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 This is going up around Canada Hockey Place: Canada Pavilion Looking from the BC Place side across False Creek to the Olympic Village Quebec Pavilion English Bay Vectoral
GeeCee Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 The Quebec Pavilion looks amazing lit up at night!
GeeCee Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 If only the City of Vancouver was more willing to allow light features in general.. but that's probably a topic for another forum.
mr.x Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 GM Place/Canada Hockey Place Olympic Stadium Vancouver Olympic Centre - curling

mr.x Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 The pictures you posted don't work. Try saving them to your computer then upload them to imageshack.
graymccarty Posted February 5, 2010 Author Report Posted February 5, 2010 They were working 3 mins ago, and one of them still works.
canucks4ever Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Hopefully this will work..? Luv it but where doesnt it say Vancouver... look like Vanoc is scared to say vancouver... in all other games the name of the host city was always in evidence... in most of vancouver look of the games... "it's kind of shy" who agree?
4gamesandcounting Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 We haven't seen enough of it yet to make that judgement.
canucks4ever Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 maybe but I havent seen vancouver once on the banner inside the richmond oval that circle the ice... to me it's a good indicator.... but you are right maybe too soon to tell.... after all the games havent start it yet.
dave199 Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Maybe it's printed on the Oval's Ice???
