Lord David
Oceania: *Gold Coast/Perth, they have not been done before *Sydney- its most likely *Auckland Gold Coast? Pfft, even with the boost of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, it's just too small to host on it's own. Expect Brisbane to be next, or after another Brisbane bid fails, an attempt of a joint Brisbane/Gold Coast bid branded under Brisbane. Perth seems unlikely, not at least for a long while. Sydney will not happen any time soon, definitely not after Melbourne and Brisbane hosting first. Heck even after Perth for that matter. Auckland could work, if only they centred the whole "Olympic Park" around that North Harbour Stadium. After hosting a Commonwealth Games of course, or even a Olympic Winter Games in Christchurch. Lord David
Graz? Well not before Salzburg! New York? They had their shot and blew it. It seems unlikely that they'd bid again given their main stadium problems. Not like the city needs a new stadium either. Anchorage is probably too small now for a WOG, even if they can use a new arena. Accra? Com'on! Nairobi, Kenya is more deserving of the Olympics than that Ghanaian shithole. Sydney? Not before another Melbourne. Asian WOG? Please, only Almaty and perhaps Harbin, China.

baron-pierreIV
North American: Reno (WOG); Tulsa (SOGs) I couldn't find that post of Soaring wherein out of the blue he throws in Shanghai as China's next summer city; so I'll just plunk my post-thoughts on that. Shanghai won't happen until the late 30s or early 40s. Look at the upcoming distribuion (summer years in bold!: 2020 - Europe (Rome probably) 2022 - No. America - Reno (Denver is a dud!!) 2024 - Africa - Durban 2026 - maybe Europe -- maybe Sweden? 2028 - Asia - Tokyo 2030 - maybe Asia - Harbin 2032 - No. America - NYC or San Francisco 2034 - Europe - Paris Disneyland 2036 - Europe - Istanbul 2038 - No. America - Calgary again 2040 - Pacific - so Melbourne, Shanghai or Buenos Aires 2042 - Asia - Astana (or one of those 'stan cities) 2044 - Pacific - Shanghai, Buenos Aires or Melbourne 2046 - No. America - Reno again for having missed in 2026
Athensfan
You're hallucinating if you think the US can win both 2022 and 2032. Totally unrealistic. If the last bid cycles have proved anything, they've proved the Games will be increasingly spread out.

Not before another Melbourne. Asian WOG? Please, only Almaty and perhaps Harbin, China. Graz: Why not? I could imagine an interesting 3-cluster-Styrian bid with Graz, Schladming/Ramsau and Kreischberg. But Austria won't get one of the next 10 games anyway. NY: I just like this city. So I personally would prefer NYC games, but maybe you are right and another US city would have better chances, but please nth like Atlanta again... Anchorage: I don't think that the city is too small. It hast more inhabitants than Reno eg. And in my view Anchorage is a "winter city", I don't know if Reno is sth like that. I think Anchorage could be an interesting choise. Sth like Tromsö in Europe. Accra: Well there won't be more than 3 (maybe 4) games in Africa in the next 80 years and it's hard to predict what will be in 80 years. Sydney: Same like Accra. Brisbane should be the next Australian host and who knows when the next games will be hosted by Australia after Brisbane... Asian WOG: The next Asian WOG will take place in 2034 or 2038, I think and there could be WOG in Japan again. If they don't wanna reuse Sapporo or Nagano, Yamagata could be an interesting alternative. And China: Why not a co-bid of Zhangjiakou and Beijing. Well, I admit, I wanted to find an alternative to Harbin, as that is quite boring already.^^

My cousin lives there lol so I have a place to stay if I decide to visit. New York always a possibility. Especially considering MLS wants the 20th team in the area so a possible 40,000 athletics stadium thats downgraded after the games for the team. Triffle
Accra? Com'on! Nairobi, Kenya is more deserving of the Olympics than that Ghanaian shithole. Have you actually been to Accra? Developing nations with low GDP per capita does not implicitly make them "shitholes". How about just showing some gratitude for living in wealthy country where most citizens enjoy a comfortable lifestyle than denigrating the city of a third world country because it can't host a prestige event like the Olympic Games.
