Sadly, this is not the first time (nor it will be the last) he does shenanigans like this. And the fact he never faces real consequences makes me wonder if the mods even really care about doing their job here or if they're actually friendly with him.

I know there hasn't been much activity in this site as in the past, thanks in great part to Olympism and sport events falling out of favor due to their politicization and increased costs in a world which has more important issues to resolve at the moment, but it shouldn't be an excuse to let the quality of this forum to freefall this much.

Baron is really not the only one who needs to be reined in here though…the inane and incessant posting obsessions by certain people really took away lots of my enjoyment.

I think the dead bodies on this forums site should be banned.

^^ the oddest scenario would be the current one: letting old fashioned- fake ravamped San Siro host an olympic ceremony.

Can you imagine if old Wembley hosted 2012 OC?

Not really.

A Stadium is a Stadium.

Winter Olympic Opening Ceremonirs are usually held at night and like any grotty nightclub, at night they look sparkling and spectacular  -   but in the bright light of day they looked dirty, worn and aged.

Well, they better cover it properly with banners and everything then so that people coming those days won't think being in 1990! :P

Current San Siro still has a charm of its own despite looking outdated in the exterior. I'm sure it can still be accomodated properly for the ceremonies. We saw worst offenders like BC Place and its unstable dome (which got replaced shortly after the games).

It seems Meazza will claim to be the largest stadium to host winter opening together with the Nest.

Anyway, is good to see they at least refreshed the outside.

The Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies promise to showcase Italy's rich culture and heritage on the global stage, uniting the world through sport and artistry. An eagerly anticipated event that will celebrate both tradition and innovation.

HA!  Here is what Milano 2026 Opening or Closing should be like.  OK, reminiscent already of Torino 2006; but then again, it's northern Italy, so how different can you be?  Maybe this is what Estanguet and Paris 2024 want to achieve?  Eat your coeur out, M. Estanguet!!
