Summer Games host city visits

Twenty three cities have or will have hosted the Summer Olympics. Which ones have you visited? If any?

Cities above are alphabetized and I had to break the choices up into two questions because the system here only allows 20 answers per question.

I've been to 14 out of 23.

But only 2 winter cities.

Los Angelese four times for me - it was because of trips to Disneyland.

Two right. I haven't been to Athens, Beijing, St Louis, Mexico City, Rio and Montreal.

I gotta confess, I counted Moscow, though it was just a quick airport stopover.

Can't say I'm surprised that Paris, London and Los Angeles are the Top 3. But (as of this post) no one has been to Mexico City? Wow.

Well, I was planning to tick Rio off later this year. But it looks like I may have to settle for some rainy city on the Thames in August next year , and save Rio for 2016.

I guess us BCers could head on down there and partake in some drug wars.

I got six. I've also seen the Olympic stadium in each of those except one, well at least from outside.

I lived in the suburbs of LA during the '84 Games and visited the sites following the Games. Also was in Atlanta in 1990 at the same time the IOC was making an inspection visit, ended up staying it the same hotel at one point.

Atlanta, Los Angeles in the US, London and Paris overseas... Favorites being London (spent a summer studying there in 2004 when they were bidding for the 2012 games and was at the torch relay concert on the Mall) and also Atlanta... was at a fraternity confrence for a week, Stayed near the olympic park, great to see how the legacy of the 96 games is still there and thriving...

I've managed to get around to Sydney, Tokyo, London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, Munich, Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam and Antwerp.

Oh, and Olympia.

Have also made an unadventurous 3 hour stopover in LA, but didn't get any further than the terminal so didn't count that.

I've been to 10- Los Angeles, Atlanta, Montreal, Paris, London, Athens, Melbourne, Sydney, Beijing, and Tokyo. I've flown through Amsterdam and Munich and driven through St. Louis, but I really don't count those as "visiting". I would like to visit most of the others on the list at some point.
