I understand there might be some dynamic pricing for some of highest range tickets but it is a hot topic for the IOC (once you have opened up the gate to dynamic pricing, it will be difficult to turn back). baron-pierreIV Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 (edited) 15 hours ago, Bear said: They did Probably NO dynamic pricing for the first round. But if "hot tickets" return to the resale pot, then "dynamic pricing" might kick in for the few tickets left in that pot. I notice that Ticketmaster and one other agency will be included in the Resale stage -- so those 2 agencies, excluded from the first round, will have to make their cut in trying to get rid of the returned/unwanted tickets. (And, of course, they may be premium tickets which the original buyers just might not have the time or energy to resell on their own.) Edited March 31 by baron-pierreIV Quote
Bear Posted April 1 Author Report Posted April 1 One of my friends received an email stating they were not selected for the draw... fingers crossed for everyone else 🤞 Quote

krow Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 i got a slot april 3rd - going to get 2 tix to 6 events i think. Quote
baron-pierreIV Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 Uh-oh. Have been seeing a lot of negative comments on LA28 Facebook page. I am shocked at the 24% service fees; but at least they are honest about it. 🤪 I guess they are hoping enough MAGA suckas buy the first drop of tix with the 24% service charge!! Quote

baron-pierreIV Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 (edited) Here's from someone who scored Opening Ceremony (I guess these are mid-price-level) tickets to the SoFi part of it: It won't post. But 4 OC tix ($575 ea) = $2300 + service charge of $138.17 x 4 = $2852.12. Go for the Dress Rehearsal tix @ SoFi then; and then the live show at LA Memorial for the actual Cauldron Lighting = overall CHEAPER!!! @Bear - since you are a local LA28 basis, what are the ticket prices they assigned for the Opening & CLosing Ceremonies -- of both regular and Paras? Apparently, LA28 isn't even making ticket prices available to anyone just curious about them. Thanks. Edited April 3 by baron-pierreIV x Quote

I haven't seen the prices for the ceremonies either as I haven't been given a time slot (yet?) and you need one to check the prices 🫠 1 Quote
krow Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 (edited) i didn't get everything i wanted (only 2 events from my wishlist), but i did get some stuff. tickets were disappearing as i was clicking around and i was only late by like 4 minutes from my drop time. i couldn't get a single thing at the velodrome!!! i am very bummed about this. i did get 2 tix each to: mens synchro diving 3m springboard finals a rather middling day at track & field BMX finals rugby 7s women's gold/bronze games trampoline finals M & W (separate tickets but same day) anyone want to guess how much all this cost, given that the cheapest options were often sold out and i had to get mid-level or higher for everything but rugby? Edited April 3 by krow i thought it was 10m diving but it was 3m Quote

So, double tickets across six-plus finals (I’m assuming your track and field day will include a few finals)? Hmmmmm. I’ll guess $4k-$6k? Or are you going to need to sell a kidney or set up an Only Fans page? 1 Quote
baron-pierreIV Posted April 4 Report Posted April 4 Yup, that /\/\ one's soul (if he has one) won't quite bring in what he's put down for '28 tix. 😄 Quote

Bear Posted April 5 Author Report Posted April 5 yall the cheapest ticket for the closing ceremony right now is $5,000 😭 no opening ceremony tickets available Quote
baron-pierreIV Posted April 5 Report Posted April 5 16 minutes ago, Bear said: yall the cheapest ticket for the closing ceremony right now is $5,000 😭 no opening ceremony tickets available is that the basic face value of the ticket? Or, including all the service charges?? (I've gotten most of the prices for OC.) Quote
Bear Posted April 5 Author Report Posted April 5 So I only got two sports because I actually would rather NOT go bankrupt: 2 x Basketball Women's Prelim ($52.26 each) 2 x Golf Women's Prelim ($28 each) The taxes and fees were included in the initial price shown on the ticket selection page, and its not until you're going to pay when you see how it's broken down. 8 minutes ago, baron-pierreIV said: is that the basic face value of the ticket? So those CC tix that you saw are to be exact, the ones the ultimately cost $4,961.00. When it's that high, what's another $39 to brag that you just bought $5K tix?? I guess the bragging rights are free! Wow, I think this is the first time in history of any major ticketed event -- wherein they are computing down to the last penny -- just as the US Treasury is retiring the circulation of copper pennies! 😄 So totally IRONIC!! How odd that they didn't ask: would you like to round it off to the nearest $5.00 mark?? Edited April 5 by baron-pierreIV Quote
