  1. I think it should also be the Olympic Channel / Olympics.com as well, but I'll get back to you if I see otherwise
  2. The Opening Ceremony will be titled "Unlocking The Magic: Celebrating The Power of The One" and will showcase Birmingham's history and future and feature performances from various artists including Alabama, Nelly, Sara Evans, Sheila E., Tony! Toni! Tone!, and Yolanda Adams. The Closing Ceremony will be titled "One World-One People: Celebrating Legacy, Achievement & Unity" (i sense they may have gotten inspiration from a particular set of ceremonies earlier this year...) and will feature performances from Lionel Richie, and others (the list so far can be found here), as well as the handover to the TWG 2025 hosts, Chengdu. Bootsy Collins will serve as Master for Ceremonies for both ceremonies, and will "guide audiences through a musical and theatrical presentation celebrating the rich musical and cultural history of Birmingham, AL." The official song, "Hope of Alabama" will also be performed at both ceremonies. And for a particular user in these forums: yes. there will be a choir at some point in the ceremonies.

  7. https://olympics.com/ioc/news/ioc-finalises-la28-olympic-sports-programme-evaluation-criteria The criteria will be based on: Prioritizing a reduction in the cost and complexity of hosting the Games. Engaging the best athletes and sports that put athlete health and safety first. Recognizing global appeal to fans across the world, and host country interest. Prioritizing gender equality and youth relevance to engage new fans and athletes. Upholding integrity and fairness to support clean sports. Supporting environmental sustainability to foster long-term sustainability. The final decision on the disciplines that will be part of the Games will be made next year by the executive board, and the final decision on the events, quotas, and competition format will take place after Paris 2024.

  9. Well, here they are, the Olympic ceremony media guides: https://library.olympics.com/doc/SYRACUSE/2287572 (Opening Ceremony) https://library.olympics.com/doc/SYRACUSE/2287569 (Closing Ceremony, also contains the handover guide by Milano Cortina 2026)
  10. Something neon green and black, if we are to go with the main colors used in their social media headers and the website background maybe something along the lines of this notebook cover design:
  11. Should Imran Khan still be on this list? I thought he was replaced a few weeks ago
  12. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/bmx-mountain-bike-riders-needed-23532275 looks like there will be BMX and mountain bike stunts at the opening ceremony
  13. This is pretty cool :0 Few questions: Where did you get the SoFi map? What's the song used in the scroll segment (around 2:15)?
  14. that should be Birmingham, Alabama I think the Olympic Channel covered part of the 2017 edition, so they might cover 2022 internationally In the US, it's CBS who has broadcasting rights, although they are only covering highlights every day...

  16. https://la28.org/en/newsroom/LA28-Introduces-Youth-Council.html Really cool initiative by LA28
  17. It's not complete, but it's still something:
  18. Short documentary type video on the Olympic Anthem choir (which I understand was widely disliked in these forums, but still):
  19. This is awesome either way --- Does anyone happen to have the full (or at least mostly complete) videos for the Atlanta Paralympic OC or the Torino Paralympic OC?
  20. please... you attempted to force yet another useless discussion about the 2028 ceremonies in the 2032 news thread. literally who cares what LAOCOG is doing in 6 years, on a thread dedicated to an event that is taking place in another city, another country, and another culture in 10 years.
  21. yet you still wont bother to watch the ceremonies...
  22. please stop doing this. what do the ceremonies of 2028 have to do with the organizing committee of 2032? the answer is nothing.
