Emmanuel Grégoire, candidate for the Paris municipal election (and currently leading first round's polls), wants Paris to bid for Youth Olympics (no edition mentioned).

Makes sense to use some of the Paris 2024 venue infrastructure.

Also, may as for a future edition of the Winter Youth Olympics too after French Alps 2030, like Italy has done in 2028.

I hope not. I loved Paris 2024, but if the YOGs have any relevance at all. It’s for the smaller cities and countries. Paris has nothing to prove.

Having a very good knowledge of the "behind the scenes" of Emmanuel Grégoire's campaign, those who drafted his platform don't really have a good knowledge of the Olympic world; and indeed, it's quite unlikely that Paris will ever be awarded the YOG. The IOC will always favor "second-tier" countries/cities that can't aspire to host the "Major Games." Don't expect Paris to actually bid for the YOG if Grégoire is elected; I think they'll quickly realize their idea is a dead end.

(And—this needs confirmation—but I don't believe they want to publicize this idea right now.)

It's in his manifesto (at the very end, but it's mentioned).

Yes, I know this manifesto well (haha) - what I meant by that is that each candidate will seek to promote only 5-10 maximum ideas from their project in the public debate, by publicizing them with lots of articles in the media, by heavily insisting on these points in the candidate's daily communication, etc... and to my knowledge I don't believe they will seek to use this idea as an "important idea of the program"; they will probably put much more emphasis on the issue of the Parc des Princes.

(Perhaps some media outlets will see this idea and decide to write articles about it on their own... it's not impossible; but in any case, from what I know, it's not Grégoire who will try to strongly promote this idea in the public debate)

Yeah that's the opposite of what the YOG is for. If they have a point, the summer one, it's to go to countries that can't host the main games. France is very definitely not one of those. I'm sure Paris won't have to wait until 2124 for number 4.

An exhibition dedicated to Paris 2024 will soon open... in Nice. That's where is located the National Sport Museum (more precisely at Allianz Riviera, due to host ice hockey in 2030). It will both focus on the ceremonies (costumes, accessories, a miniature replica of the cauldron should be displayed in the coming months) and on athletes (jerseys and other outfits, equipment).

The exhibition should be opened until the 2030 Games. Given its duration, some pieces should be added over time: Céline Dion's dress is expected in 2029 and the museum wants to host Zeus, the metallic horse, currently displayed in Paris until early 2027.

We also learn in the article that it was planned to create an official Olympic museum at the Saint-Denis–Pleyel station, the brand new metro station that opened a few months before the Games and located close to the Stade de France. But the person in charge left during Covid and the project has been ditched. Nice's museum thought about becoming an Olympic museum but has currently declined to stay independent from IOC.
