Danny, re: the British press, to understand what they're really saying, look at the draw in Group D - we're gonna play Italy, Uruguay, & Costa Rica. They're making excuses, with the best will in the world, it's difficult to see England beating Italy or Uruguay, & Costa Rica could spring a surprise. Therefore, it's rather likely that we'll be on the way out after round 1. Unfortunately, our media generally refuse to accept the idea that the England team might simply not be good enough, so they spend the months before a tournament preparing excuses for an early bath - at Euro 2012 is was crowd hostility & the distance from training camp to match venues. So it's not about insulting Brazil, we have nothing against your country - but should we drop out at the first hurdle, our media & team will be reeling out their reasons - just like every time.

Danny, we get it, you don't like the press. Please stop preaching. There are delays in Brazil (The Press was incorrect on some circumstances), but stop making remarks. We get it, you don't like the press. Nice Stadiums by the way. Brasilia National Stadium and Arena Pernambuco are looking good.

1. That lady is happily doing the horns sign! LOL! Does that symbol have meaning in Brazil?

2. There is American Football in Brazil? I didn't know that.

1. Means "Rock 'n Roll, babyyy!!!"

2. Yes, indeed, we have a national league now, the "Touchdown Tournament".

We also have the "Beach American Football Tournament" in Rio that is getting more and more popular.

A match played here in Santos by the local team "Santos Tsunami"

The jersey of Santos Tsunami, white as the famous Soccer team. This match was against São Caetano Cougars (Those name gets funny by mixing Portuguese and English)

England is a strong team and, IMO, must be respected every single time the join a World Cup, no matter how strong or not are the players.

What I see is the biased attitude from the British press (and this is a fact, not a impression from me) have more to do with the loss to Qatar in the World Cup bid for 2022 than an excuse for some eventual fiasco of the England team in Brazil.

South American floods: Dozens dead in Brazil as Mexico also hit

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-25514396

Mexico, South America.... <_<
BBC about Latin America... Inaccuracy at its most.

In the end, we Bidded for 2018 and not 2022, so your accusations are false Danny. Everyone knows Qatar won unfairly.

But British press was mad to lose to Russia too...

Roy Hodgson: 'Manaus not an ideal place for football'

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-25424372

Roy Hodgson confirmed that that England's preparations are on track but acknowledged that coping with the heat of the Amazonian jungle is going to be a tough test.

June averages

Manaus

Temperature: 26C

Humidity: 83%

London, England

Temperature: 22C

Humidity: 92%

Stop saying excuses about Manaus too...
No heat temperatures or hell humidity conditions in Manaus in june...

The record high temperature Manaus registered in june was 35C, the same highest temperature London ever registered for june: 35C...

Russia's Bid was corrupt aswell. We had the strongest Bid. We had the infrastructure, transport network, support and existing facilities.

Strongest bid not always win... This is a rule in the games bids world... What about a growing emerging market? What about a new-fresh place to host the event?

If you have been here in the boards for the last 10 years or so you would know that.

And indeed, I was hoping England and Australia to win... When Rio was defeated twice to host the Olympics, Brazilian press did not start a campaign against Athens or London, pretty much otherwise...

Not even after that British citizen pulled over the Brazilian marathonist who was leading in the end of Athens Marathon... The only to blame was that idiot, not Great Britain or Greece security forces...

We're not against the countries - what we're not fans of is FIFA's corruption. So yeah, we're not great mates with FIFA. I don't think we have a problem with losing to Russia (at the time, before the power got to Putin's head, I thought it was actually a laudable decision) The reason we're getting mad at FIFA is standing up for fairness & transparency, particularly in Qatar's case, as shown this week. We & our press are railing against FIFA, like many in Brazil now, not against Brazil. As for the mistakes, nowhere is immune from mistakes, they are normally just innocent errors, probably caused by bad research on the reporter's part. So in summary, there is no concerted media campaign against Brazil, just excuses for England & criticism of the FIFA organisation :)

Yoshi, nobody is happy with FIFA, indeed, Brazilians as you may have seen in the protests we had lately.

The thing is British press is using Brazil like "look the shithole FIFA choose to host the World Cup"

The complaints against Brazil hits FIFA and vice-versa... This is so disgusting. Go direct to FIFA and its issues...

There is a TV report from BBC over the "great improvement on the income unequality in Brazil", at some point "look at this, they improved but still look very poor, specially with the World Cup months away"....

For the general audience, the stadium will be built like a miracle... 80 days before the World Cup, there were initial works like, it needs 3 years to get it done, in the World Cup the stadium is ready and shinning... How can be?

Why the fact of Inside the Games be a British company does not surprise me?

Just drop it please! Why keep bringing that up. You want a reaction. You got it. For crying out loud, stop moaning about British this, British that. Get that attitude off of you.

Mods, please can you sort this out. Danny keeps banging on about British press. We get it Danny, stop pumping it down our throats.

What are "temporary FIFA structures"? Golden toilet seats for Blatter?

Temporary Fifa structures are structures to house the Media, Sponsors and other requirements by Fifa.

In other words: There are delays because FIFA asks things from Brazil that have nothing to do with playing football matches and then criticises Brazil for these delays.

Yes, the structure is ready and it's a safe environment which is playable, but Fifa doesn't look at it like that, because they get what they demand,
