It's also 50 years from the time the Sabena jet crashed in Belgium carrying I think 41 members of the US Figure Skating team that year on their way to Prague for the 1961 worlds. Gosh, next time I fly I want to make sure there are no figure skaters or ice hockey players on board. (However, we flew with the Soviet women's national volleyball team on board from Spokane to Seattle in August 1990 during the 1990 Goodwill Games. They were very nice even though kinda reserved.
