Sir Rols
I'm seeing on some of the more conservative sites, though, that some of the die-hards bigots are starting to wonder whether the Pope really is a Catholic!
DannyelBrazil
As a South American, after reading in the US media that Obama is "socialist", I can believe everyone can say their own "ideas" without link to reality. And also as a South American, I knew the papacy of a latin would be bombastic to "conservatives", specially in Europe...The "worse" for them is still to come.Just to clarify my point, the most conservative person in South America would be a light-moderate in Europe. DannyelBrazil
This Pope is used to the reality of poor part of Buenos Aires. He was a guy who used the subway to go to places, avoiding cars or other luxury. He walked though the city and also visited other neighbour South American countries, where mixed races, hard life and people with no hope is common. He probably know more gays, poor, divorced people himself than the all other Popes in the history all together. He knows the world is not perfect. People should be respected no matter their options or lack of options. His life is about helping people no matter how they look like... The beliefs of this pope can be a turning point to Catholic Church. Or the conservative wing will try to stop him in some way. It'll be interesting years. He knows clearly how the divorce thing made lots of Latins gave up on be closer to Catholic Church and it seems it's the first thing he'll address...
