Athan
Spain has ended up 6th in the medals table and 5th regarding all results from 1st to 8th, better than it seemed at the beginning of the championships. Russia has led the table again, followed by France, the UK, Germany and Turkey. BTW, thrilling women's 1500 race. Nuria was really happy when she was interviewed on TV, she hadn't expected the gold medal. And Natalia was also great. The most exciting race of the championships for me, I enjoyed it a lot. Well, that's all from Barcelona. The next European championships, in Helsinki in 2012, but with no marathon or walk races since it's an Olympic year. Rob2012
To be honest Baron, I didn't even know the Europeans had an opening ceremony! A great Championships for Team GB overall. I didn't catch as much of it as I'd have liked to, but it bodes well for 2012.

Rafa
I watched it on telly here. It was good old athletics, without the frills. Good atmosphere, open air stadium. Felt like the "old days".
