Westfale
Does anyone has the fax number or email-address of Michel Platini? His old number/address is still not working. Thanks. Call the French Football Federation FFF!
zenica
His web-site was www.platini.com which is also not working for a longer period of time. I also tried to get in contact with the general secretary of FFF - but didn´t get an answer up to now. So I try to get the information on another way. zenica
To finally close this year there is only missing a message from Franz Beckenbauer, sent in TV at Christmas 12 am (like the Pope) We wish Platini & Co. and the possible future UEFA president a successfull New Year

arwebb
I wouldn''t mind his ability on the football pitch, but that's about it.
zenica
Platini also has shown his abilities as a sport and football official (member of executive committee of UEFA, member of FFF, head of organisation committee WC France 1998). I think these are facts to show he has the ability to do the job. And he is much younger than the other candidate.
arwebb
He's shown an ability to make stupid comments which threatened to wreck an entire World Cup. That is not what I want in a UEFA president.
zenica
When looking on other officials he made only a few mistakes. People who work should be allowed to make mistakes, agreed?
arwebb
Making mistakes is one thing. Being idiotic is another.
zenica
It seems quite clear that you do not like Platini. For me it´s the same with Beckenbauer ... My reason why: I don´t like people who want to be in the center of everything without accepting his own borders and disabilities.
arwebb
It's not a question of not liking Platini. I am just completely unconvinced that he is suitable for this role, while I believe that Beckenbauer is. You can say what you like and we can argue about this until the cows come home, but I am not going to change my views.

zenica
maybe he is looking at Johansson which, in a "democratic" election, will favorite Beckenbauer, as he already mentioned in an interview several weeks ago. It´s the same like Havelange, who favorited Blatter as his successor as FIFA president
