Mr Tickle
I already thought Sky were sponsoring the velodrome, where did i hear that then?. I do like your Red Bull Aquatics Centre Rob he he.
Lee
I would agree that the Velodrome is probably the most aesthetically pleasing venue at the moment. However, I think that in legacy the real jewel in the crown will be the Aquatics Centre. I keep looking at the legacy plans and that glass will just look incredible and really bring this building alive once the wings are down. Can't wait! walei
^ That is one ugly venue. Reminds me of diseased corals, and cheese.

Lee
It certainly raises a smile from me. It would be different if it were permanent, but it isn't. A striking building like this is fun and exactly what is needed from a temporary building. The only question now is it's practical use.
TheOtherRob
Yep, completely temporary. This venue has had vritually no coverage, I certainly haven't seen it on TV yet in any news or sports reports. I doubt many people even here in the UK know about it. It's going to come as a real surprise when people do see it on TV this year.

Brekkie Boy
Love that shooting venue. And in the shots of the Olympic Park on the last page the Aquatics Centre now out uglies the Tower of Boris - those temporary wings are so obviously an after thought. Durban Sandshark
Very interesting. Does resemble corals somewhat but I would add those Duplo and Lego blocks when I was a kid. Helps London stand out. Too bad it is temporary.

kevzz
The pics are confusing. The first picture shows there's seating to both ends of the pool. And the other shows just a wall on one end. Is there 2 pools in the venue?
Mr Tickle
There must be, its a warm up pool I suppose
kevzz
I just read, yes there are 2 pools one warm up and one competition. I like the stark interior, grey blue and black. The black seating block is a good contrast to the colourful shards of most venues.
