amorincognito
München 2018 Someone told me that Ritter is going out of business! I really hope it is a joke, or that at least it's the importer that brings Ritter to the U.S. that is going under.

cfm Jeremie
Organisation for European Championship 2008 in football is great experience for Geneva for Olimpische organisation winter games 2018 . Zenica, I am awfully sorry to tell you that Swiss Olympic announced on 24th November 2007 that Switzerland won't be bidding for 2018 Olympics. Therefore Geneva has zero chance to be Olympic in 2018. Sir Rols
We still wait and watch for Geneva 2018. Then why don't you just stop your ridiculous spamming here in the meantime until they do declare a bid?

Swiss Olympic already announced so: no bid from Switzerland for 2018.
stryker
I'd like to see the Swiss give it another shot. However, holding the alpine events at the same site that Sion once proposed is quite a ways away. Is there not a site closer?

However, holding the alpine events at the same site that Sion once proposed is quite a ways away. Is there not a site closer? From Geneva not really. Unless there is a strong sentimental push for Switzerland, I don't think Geneva's bid is going to be very attractive against the Munich and PC 2018. And Geneva has a lot of work to do to make SwissOlympic change its decision not to bid for 2018.

After what happened with Austria and the Salzburg bid, I think thatalone caused the Swiss to back off. And yes, I don't think Geneva would stand up to a bid from PC, Munich, or even Reno.
