baron-pierreIV
Funny, I just looked him up on Google a few days ago -- to see where he's been. http://www6.comcast.net/sports/articles/ge...Champion.Death/ Christopher was such a talented guy, with so much promise and potential as a world-class skater. I spoke with his coach in 1992 (at the time of the World Figure Skating Championships in Oakland, CA) and came close to picking some music for him then. But he always had a drug problem. Such a waste. Requiescat in pacem, Christopher.
LA84
This one, unfortunately, was not a shocker. He could have picked up the from "The Battle Of The Brians" as in some ways, he was more talented than both Orser and Boitano and won gold in Albertville. But his personal life over rode that possibility. As fate would have it Paul Wylie, his team mate from '92 who went on to win the Silver Medal when Bowman placed fourth, is being inducted into the USFA Hall Of Fame this year. RIP.
