Galandar Posted January 2, 2008 Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 Sport-Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev was opened in 1990 and since that time nearby over 30 international competitions by various sport disciplines were held in it. Several World and European championships as well as different international tournaments in rhytmic gymnastics, wrestling, boxing, voleyball, handball, took place in Baku in this complex. Being the largest sports object in the country, it has all necessary conditions for helding big international competitions. There are training halls, additional rooms, and also conference halls in a complex which contain 7000 spectator places. ISNT THERE?! They got only hockey field in Azerbaijan right next to Hotel Excelsiors. They plan to use and upgraded version of this field for field hockey events.
