It doesn't matter, but it sure is a bonus. ;)

Yeah, are you gonna post another news article yet? lol

Maybe one that says Whitfield is from British Columbia and then highlight that part...lmao

Anyways, we have a great medal chance later on early in the morning here when Alexandre Despatie competes in his diving final.

The Canadian wrestler I mentioned earlier is out of competition now.

Jason Burnett could potentially medal but is a long shot.

For some reason I believe that Lopes-Schliep will achieve a Personal Best in her Final heat for the Women's 100m Hurdles. If I were to pick a big surprise medal for the Canadian team it would be from her. With Perdita Felicien not there, there's no other Canadian women for her to hide in the shadows of.

With Jason Burnett's silver we are at 11 medals (2G, 5S, 4B) and will easy surpass the 12 from Athens, the 14 of Sydney is probably going to be passed, especially if Despatie wins a medal in the diving. It would take a huge effort in the final 5 days to beat or equal the Atlanta mark of 22. It would be nice if we got 2 or 3 more gold medals so we improve in that department, and should at least equal the 3 Olympic champions from Atlanta, Sydney and Athens but the 7 from Barcelona is safe for our non-boycott record.

I must say I'm surprised that Burnett medaled. I didn't think he would. I just woke up and was pleasantly surprised and now I see Alexandre Despatie currently in 2nd in the diving fnal. These Olympics have really turned around for Canada.

Lopes tied the Australian with the same time. Why did the Australian win the silver over her then?

It wasn't a dead-heat on the photo-finish.

Priscilla has just won Canada's first Olympic track medal since 1996. She definitely has a bright future. Her winning bronze is like winning gold since no one expected her to do much. I always knew she would challenge for a medal at these games when no one else thought so.

Canada has 13 medals in total now. 1 better than Athens' 12 medals. This is shaping up to be a great games for our country. After that slow start we all were getting a little worried, some more than the rest. The second half of the schedule all our big contenders were competing. We still got a big load of medal contenders who still haven't gone yet.
