Durban Sandshark
Onto basketball, Rowan Barrett has returned to the Canadian men's national team after a five year absence to deepen the talent level assembled and get them to qualify for Beijing in Athens. Steve Nash has yet to say something about that at this point, despite some apparent efforts from his fellow Canadian basketball players.

Does Steve Nash just want to concentrate on the NBA now? I don't understand why he hasn't participated with the National team since the 2000 Olympics. Fox334
Wouldn't the 5 spots for Individual Eventing in Equestrian be taken by those athletes already competing in the other Equestrian events? No, at a hight level its virtually nobody competes in both Eventing and Show Jumping and/or Dressage. Oh, and your count of cycling is a bit inflated, since the Time Trialist (is that even a word?) has to be a part of the road race (Canada also has a spot in the women's time trial). And its hard to know the exact number since some athletes can compete in multiple events.

Chateau Petrus
Beach Volleyball Based on the ranking of the World Cup different stages. For the moment for the men : Cadieux-Heese have a spot but they are very close to be evinced. Women : forget it. Since the beginning of the season, Cooke-Martin and Maxwell-Lessard reach the main draw at few occasion. But never get a victory so they are far to a spot and with the number of tournament remaining, it's now mission impossible for both teams.

Chateau Petrus
And for Canoe-Kayak flatwater If you consider that an athlete can grab a spot in more than one event, it's possible that the total number of athletes are less than the 24 you announced. By example, it's the case of Gabriel Beauchesne-Sévigny who will compete in the C2-500m and the C2-1000m. He's not the only one with this situation. And for changing subject, we will know in few days the composition of the diving team (competition in Vancouver). Blythe Hartley, Emilie Heymans, Marie-Eve Marleau, Roseline Filion and Meghan Benfeito should get their tickets for Beijing. Rachel Kemp will have to wait for London 2012 For the men, Riley McCormick easily, and after, a battle between Kevin Geason and Reuben Ross (note that Alexandre Despatie and Arthuro Miranda are allready confirmed)

Chateau Petrus
Its not possible to have 2 in the individual time trial, Canada only has one spot. Here's the full article I got yesterday. I put in bold the indication about the two names for the individual time trial. Maybe they are wrong ?
