emre Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 well i cannot write in turkish proparly eheheh let me correct it then ok?
Citius Altius Fortius Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 * That said, I have faith in Puppy's impartiality here yeah - Puppy is impartial (here in the competion) for sure!!
cesco_82 Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 The Morocco 2026 Stadiums are all from the official 2010 bid site... The Morocco bid is from Mo Rush... Also the Arica stadium in the Chile bid has a touch of the Moroccan about it too! Here is the Turkey/Greece logo - I must say I do like it - though THROUGH is misspelt... this seems to be a lonely turkish bid because seems to refer to the Bosporus which is from Turkey and Turkey.
thatsnotmypuppy Posted December 14, 2007 Author Report Posted December 14, 2007 Here is the fixed Turkey/Greece logo... I think the bridge - while obviously the Bosporus bid - does symbolise the joining of the two continents, and the two countries. I like it.
ghost1 Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Are we allowed to steal stadium designs? I thought we could only use existing projects (in reality) or if they aren't any, graphics we we've produced on our own? Taking pics for the Morocco website isn't stealing, because those projects exist (or existed), but as for other bids... I thought we should stick more to reality here. Although having imagenary stadia is funny, it doesn't contribute muh to the transparency and the real strenght of a bid. Anyway, I'm okay if we do it with google-found-graphics, either way works, although I would prefer the more realistic approach. So, when's the applicant report coming out? Are they grades in it? Different criteria? Oh, it's getting interesting... Yes, Roltel, 2018 was for me , too, the most exciting week on GB's comps, but this one is getting quite gripping and better than expected.
ghost1 Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Ok, here's my semi-stolen logo (I did some redesign): I know, I know, but I'll have a better one, if BG-Rom goes to the final
Aronious Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 though THROUGH is misspelt... many laughs...does anyone else see the comic value in having the word "shoot" for a bid from a country with the 2nd largest amount of AK's? Are you acting a comedy or what? sorry i dont respond to your anti-racism ramblings And the GBOC! Couldn't organise a root in a brothel! Hey, did I officially wind it up, or am I still incumbent President of it? I can't remember. oh let the power strugle begin! claws out ladies!!
Aronious Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 I know, I know, but I'll have a better one, if BG-Rom goes to the final You make promises...will you deliver…my spidey sense says no. I have been told how to be a theif, steal! steal! I hope I wouldn't one day steal in real life. Steal! steal! ring in my mind now though like a harmless steal! harmless steal? the only thing you could steal is my valuable time..having to read your posts.
thatsnotmypuppy Posted December 15, 2007 Author Report Posted December 15, 2007 The applicant phase is now complete - thank you to the 10 bidders.
baron-pierreIV Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Sorry Puppy and everyone. Time is just short -- and VANOC just announced its Medals design competition -- and I have some hot ideas for that. Besides 2026 for the US is a fantasy. It'll be 2018 or 2022 for real.
james Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 many laughs...does anyone else see the comic value in having the word "shoot" for a bid from a country with the 2nd largest amount of AK's? sorry i dont respond to your anti-racism ramblings oh let the power strugle begin! claws out ladies!! Enough of your pedagiogical-pedantic-bossy-dictating comments .
KRATK Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Ha ha... I never thought that a Morocco bid would take part so I use two of their stadiums for my bid. I think nobody here is an architect so can create their own stadiums for the bid... so I just used proposed stadiums over the world for the cities that doesn't have any proposal for a new stadium in reality. Besides, it's just a fantasy contest... I don't think Chile will bid in reality at least in the next 50 years BTW... I must said that I loved the Greece-Turkey logo... really clever

KRATK Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Anyway, the other stadiums in the Chilean bid are real. The proposed roof for the National Stadium, the Concepcion Stadium based in Veltins-Arena and the stadiums of Antofagasta (really, it was Calama but that city won't be suitable for the WC because of its altitude), Concepcion and Temuco (the ones for the Women's U-20 World Cup)
krow Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 Enough of your pedagiogical-pedantic-bossy-dictating comments . uh-oh i think someone's discovered thesaurus.com
Sir Rols Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 So any word yet on timing and requirements for the next stage?
Aronious Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 So any word yet on timing and requirements for the next stage? I was wondering the same thing. Oi Puppy are you still the supreme lord of this contest are shall we hand back the power to krow and his GBOC followers...you have 24 hours to find the jade monkey
james Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Am lost in the whole thing about this 2026 bid. It' s not done in organised manner.
Sir Rols Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Am lost in the whole thing about this 2026 bid. It' s not done in organised manner. You should have seen the past contests. This one has been done in about the most organised and clear way ever _ thanks Puppy!
james Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 You should have seen the past contests. This one has been done in about the most organised and clear way ever _ thanks Puppy! I was not trying to spite at anyone in any way, just that what I thought it looked like to me.
Sir Rols Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I was not trying to spite at anyone in any way, just that what I thought it looked like to me. You would have been a fine member for Africa of the GBOC (GamesBids Olympic Committee).
james Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Am sorry to say this, Sir, Sir Roltel, that am not asking for a position anywhere or here in the Gamesbids.com( am not acusing of that). I think, it's a ground on which people who are experienced with the organising, planning and implementing as if they were done in real life--just a poit. I have no doubt , if London on his own great strength, intelligence and education could plan to deviate from what it had on book why won't Gamesbids. Why won't Gamesbids? If a moment had been dedicated to the planning and tenent on which to follow as rules such like those binding in IOC are well drawn, I don't think I would have the time to be complaining here at all as am doing right now. What have I complained about? I submitted a bid twice and I was corrected of my first error. The second submission came with map as requested by the one in charge. At the end most of the real life feaciblities were added to knock out some bids and I was among them, accepting those which seem normaly compresensible to real life feasibilities of which the huge time difference was not taking into consideration at the time. Am new here and I hope those experienced will comment on this.
