 Announced today: Semi Finals hosts

Wellington x 2 matches

Christchurch x 2 matches

Bronze medal play-off

Auckland

Hamilton has missed out on hosting the latter as it had put in a major bid for the bronze match. This has upset the Hamilton City Council as Wellington only has a stadium capable of holding 38k pax...and got two quarters.

However the VERY real risk is that a big stadium would be needed as the potential of the Bronze Match being an All Black match!!!! ;)

March 2009 is when the 40 pool matches will be handed out with Outer Auckland, Dunedin, New Plymouth, Hamilton, and Invercargill picking up games.

The fight will be on for being a host city for the top tier teams (Arg,Aus, Eng, SA, Fra, Wales, Ire, Sco, Ita.)

I'm not going to call that draw heavenly for England but it's certainly as good as we could have hoped for. France might find life a little tricky.

Bloody focking hell, Canada can never get a break. Its either Group A (most likely) or Group C, both not even with prospects of a win.

France seemed fine with NZ in 2007 in Cardiff.

Maybe so. But it's how they cope with the Tongas of this world early on in the tournament that will be most interesting.

:( Yeah, fair call, Faster! Hope for Pool C, at least it's a better shot.

 This is where I believe the RWC should institute a Sevens type tournament play-off for the minors when the "Major" Quarters begin, a shield final in the Semi Finals weekend would really rock...And keep those teams from having to leave early. There's pretty much no color left in the last week as all but four teams remain. :(

Here is time for New Zealand to get revenge and beat the French!

Its going to be Pool A, the winner of the Canada vs United States playoff goes into pool A. So France, New Zealand, Tongo and Japan oh joy. Though just getting by the US will be harder this time.

 RWC2011 Final Match ticket price $US700.00 for a basic seat.

That's why TV is soooo much better! ;)

Eden Park looks really strange with the old main stand gone. The Number two ground is getting all the cricket action at the moment, it being a perfect oval and all!

However Dunedin is cause for concern as there is still no word on a start time for New Carisbrooke, - and time has long run out! :(

Just find a way through the scaffolding or just stand on the roof of one of the nearby homes.

 Dundin has VERY RELUCTANTLY begun to start on the new Forsyth Barr Stadium. The New Carisbrooke! Over 78% of its citizens are furious that the main user NZRU is still refusing to help fund the ground...

It will be New Zealand's first large indoor football stadium and pretty much encased in glass. The Dunedin City Council has asked the Central Government to fast track funding for the city and part of it used in the stadiums construction.

Dunedin's Scottish heritage pretty much makes the city 'tight' with spending money. The Council is now being bombarded with other public ammenities proposals including the very unique Dunedin- Mosgiel Cycleway (using the old original South railway alignment including two tunnels) giving a fast twenty minute cycle commute. Those who know Dunedin's hilly topography know it's not very bike friendly.

The biggest threat is a Rates Revolt, this would bankrupt the council coffers.

 Watch THIS space...

 You know what Mo Rush...Shut up! I'm sick of you snide comments about the 2011 RWC. Your country isn't exactly a shining example to mankind either!
