The whitewater kayak/canoe is my 100% Olympic favourite event. I'm trying to get tickets today (tomorrow?) for the other sessions.

thatsnotmypuppy
I must say I am somewhat eager to get in and fill in the Olympic ticket gaps - however I think the urgency is unfounded. If it is first come first serve per each countries allocation, you can be assured the tickets will be all over the shop. I expect a massive rush for any left over swimming and ceremony tickets - which there will be very few. Myself and Faster should be OK as we are going for second tier events. My wishlist is - Sunday August 10 MORNING 09:30-13:10 Water Polo (Ying Tung Natatorium) $11/$7 Monday August 11 MORNING 09:00-12:15 Handball (Olympic Green Gymnasium) $11/$7 Or 09:00–14:50 Beach Volleyball (Chaoyang Park Beach Volleyball Ground) $22/$11 Or 10:00-14:00 Weightlifting (Beijing University) $11/$7 AFTERNOON 13:30-16:30 Boxing (Worker’s Gymnasium) $17/$7 Or 15:00-18:42 Canoe/Kayak Slalom (Shunyi Olympic Rowing Park) $7 NIGHT 19:00-22:00 Boxing (Worker’s Gymnasium) $17/$7 Or 18:30-22:30 Hockey (Olympic Green Hockey Centre) $11/$7 Tuesday August 12 MORNING 09:00-13:00 Basketball (Wukesong Indoor Stadium) $32/$22/$11 Or 09:30-13:00 Greco Roman Wrestling (China Agricultural University Gymnasium) $22/$11 Need to get 1 extra ticket to Canoe Kayak $22 Friday August 15 EVENING 18:00-21:00 Football (Tianjin Olympic Stadium) $75/$43/$32 Saturday August 16 MORNING 09:00-13:10 Athletics (Olympic Stadium) $42/$22/$11 AFTERNOON/EVENING 13:30-16:30 Boxing (Worker’s Gymnasium) $17/$7 Or 16:30-19:65 Track Cycling (Laoshan Velodrome) $22 Or 18:00-21:00 Football (Worker’s Stadium) $75/$43/$32 Sunday August 17 MORNING 10:00-11:45 Track Cycling (Laoshan Velodrome) $11 Sunday August 17 MORNING 09:00-11:58 Athletics (Olympic Stadium) $43/$22/$11 The first Monday is the main concern as I have no tickets for that day. If I luck out I'll pop into one of the cultural installations or just stack up on the merchandise. The rest are "maybe I'll be in town" kind of deals. NOC
I can not see BOCOG releasing tickets domestically when they can not get their international orders in line. There would be too much of a problem from the Agents. From what I am being informed many Olympic Committees and IOC members are VERY upset with BOCOG about their ticketing failure. One contact also told me off the cuff that they could not even get tickets for a head of states side-kicks and that BOCOG would not issue any further swimming, Ceremony tickets and also Gymnastics and Diving. If BOCOG released more tickets next year in the boc office, it would make the Olympic Committies and IOC members even more frustrated and angry with BOCOG. I think these games are very different to previous Games and everything that was done in the past is out the window for Beijing.

Scientifik
I try to call Cosport to know exactelly at what time the sale start. The line is always busy. How does the live sales work? Do you call in is it over the internet? I've been trying to call for the last 30 minutes straight and its non stop busy, I'm sure there's quite a bit of demand but I'd be really bothered to find out all the tickets had been snatched up by ticket brokers flooding the lines and buying up everything. Well nothing has been on time yet - so I predict Wednesday But lets hope not. I think most of the tickets I need will be not hguely popular so should be ok. Of course I would love some Swimming but realisticly that will not happen.
Chateau Petrus
How to Purchase Individual Tickets Olympic Games Individual Tickets are currently for sale from an available inventory on a first-come, first-served basis with immediate confirmation and payment processing. Once at the Individual Tickets Overview page, you can search for Olympic event tickets by utilizing the 'CoSport Ticket Finder,' which will allow you to choose from a variety of search options such as by date or by sport. A list of all of the tickets that meet your search criteria will appear on the screen and you can click on each event ticket for detailed session information. Be sure to carefully read the description of each session. Once you determine which ticket(s) you would like, click on 'Add To Cart,' subject to availability. Please note: your ticket(s) for the time period requested will remain available until you press 'Add To Cart.' Step 1 – Submit Order: After clicking on 'Add To Cart,' your order will be confirmed and the ticket(s) will be placed in your Shopping Cart. Please Note: You will have 45 minutes to complete your purchase. When selecting ticket(s), please review the price categories. Category A is categorized by BOCOG as being closest to the field of play and the most expensive. Category B is the next expensive category, and then Category C the next. Add Individual Ticket(s) – Please click 'Individual Tickets' from the left side of the page and select the event ticket(s) you want to be added to your shopping cart. Continue this for all the event ticket(s) you would like. Add Accommodations and/or Hospitality Package(s) to Your Order - Please click 'Accommodations and Hospitality Packages' from the left side of the page and select the package(s) you want. For each additional package you will have to add it to your cart this way – increasing or decreasing the quantity of a specific package(s) within your cart is not an option. Before you submit your Ticket Order, make sure this is the ticket(s) that you want because all orders are final. To remove a ticket(s) from your order, click on the Trashcan icon next to the ticket(s) you want to delete. If you make any changes to the quantity ordered, be sure to update your Ticket Order by clicking on 'Update Your Cart.' To complete your Ticket Order, click 'Submit.' Step 2 – Account Contact Information: Please complete the 'Customer Information' form in its entirety. Once the form is filled in, click 'Next.' Step 3 – User Billing & Payment Information: Please complete the 'Billing and Payment Information' form in its entirety. Once the form is filled in, click 'Next.' Please follow the prompts for the method of payment you have selected for your respective country. Step 4 – Review Order: You will have one final opportunity to check the details of your Ticket Order including the ticket session details and your personal information. Please check to verify that all of the information is correct. Also, make sure you read and understand the Terms and Conditions of Sale, as you will be subject to them once you submit the Ticket Order. The Ticket Order will not submit until you have checked the box acknowledging that you have read this document. Once ticket(s) have been 'Purchased' all Ticket Orders are final and are non-cancelable by the customer for any reason or cause whatsoever and the amount paid is not refundable, as described in the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Once you have thoroughly checked the information, click 'Purchase' at the bottom of the screen. Step 5 – Finalize: Your Order Confirmation number will appear here for your reference. An automated email will now be sent to you to acknowledge that your order has been placed. This Order Confirmation will detail the ticket(s) you have ordered, as well the amount that we will charge you. Please read it carefully to make sure that all of the information is correct, and notify us immediately if you find an error. Please print the email and keep it for your records. If your credit card is declined, you will receive an immediate pop-up message indicating that your Ticket Order has been canceled. Please repeat the steps above to re-order. If you continue to receive this cancellation message, check to make sure that you are entering the correct credit card number, expiration date and billing address, and/or verify with your bank that you have the appropriate funds to finalize the Ticket Order. If you selected to pay via a method other than by credit card, there will be specific instructions on your Order Confirmation as to how to proceed and submit payment. Scientifik
A 45 minute time limit on buying tickets and the website is basically non responsive, even if you find a ticket you won't be able to quickly find a few others and piece together a decent group of events to see. Good job Cosport. Way to bring online sales into 1997.
curiousgeorge
hi! new to the forum--found it while trying to find out info about the cosport sale today. i was too late for the ticket request phase, and was hoping to get some equestrian tickets during the sale today, but no luck--spent the last 2 hours trying. very bummed. so wanted to ask if anyone has any advice/suggestions. i'm planning to be beijing starting in july (as a student/intern), so hoping i might be able to find a way to get tickets when i'm there? or else pay an exorbitant amount to a scalper?--which i don't want to do and don't know if i have the money too either. anyway, any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated... thanks! thatsnotmypuppy
Well that was pointless. I had 12 sessions in my cart, went to purchase and then my cart was empty. Soooooooooo I go back and everything I had now shows as 'sold out'. Looks like I'll get my extra tickets in Beijing without the f*cking 'fulfillment fee' because that was just plain bullshit. Consider yourself fortunate, there are those without any.
thatsnotmypuppy
All I got was the original phase 1 allotment - I couldn't purchase any tickets today as the system deleted everything in my cart. I do consider myself fortunate - however anyone could have got tickets in Phase 1 (admittedly probably not to that many events) if they were organised at the time - so there is no need anyone else to play the 'woe is me' card either. I am frustrated - but it's not the end of the world. I'll get what I can in Beijing.

I guess Australians are more interested in the olympics, because there is still tonnes of b level events on cosport Canada. CP got 70+ tickets, so it can be done, it just depends on what you want. I ran into one of my old teachers on the weekend and he is planning on going to Beijing, he applied for every single final swimming session and got 6/10, plus 4 gymnastics tickets, 2 diving, both rowing finals and a ceremonies ticket, so he was really lucky. curiousgeorge
just fyi, it seems like tickets are still available on the cosport site despite it seeming quite the opposite an hour or so ago -- i was looking at all of the equestrian events, and all of them were showing as sold out, but kept refreshing the page and then 3 of them changed to available and i was able to get tickets! not the exact events that i wanted, but now i have tickets! thanks Scientifik! thatsnotmypuppy
Well Australia's allotment was meant to be 23,000 tickets across all events - hot rumour is we got less than a fifth of that. I'll try again tomorrow and see what is left.
