Just a few things, IR Iran in 1956? nope, sorry, IR Iran did not come about until 1979.

Also Serbia has participated in the WOG, its the successor state of Serbia and Montenegro, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the like.

Singapore will not waste its time in the WOGs , it building up its Sailers & Swimmers . We're the top sailing nation is Asia ! They're tageting some medals in Beijing & London ! And besides , we are 1 degree above the eqator , theres NO SNOW within in 1000km within singapore .

Well, Jamaica didn't qualify for Bobsled, but a Jamaican-born breaker did win a silver medal for Canada in Turino's Bobsled competition.

I expect a few countries that have been represented by the one same athlete at multiple games like Bermuda (Patrick Singleton), Kenya (Phillip Boit), and Thailand (Prawat Nagvajara) to fall to the wayside at some point in time. I wouldn't be surprised to see a decrease in the number of participating NOCs in Vancouver.

are returning without question, the countries with less than 10 athletes in Torino are still in question. But new countries and spliting of countries would account for some growth, but some countries will fall by the way-side. A lot of the FA's have cut back their funding to allow athletes from Africa and Asia.
