arwebb
Hard to believe that Sanya Richards missed out on qualifying for the US team for the World Championships when she produces times like that.
Westfale
Indeed and any other nation would nominate her for the WCh nevertheless. The US system is very tough and a bit strange.
arwebb
I guess they can afford to be that tough because they have so many athletes capable of winning medals at the major championships. Meanwhile, could British long jumper Chris Tomlinson just maybe be starting to fulfil his potential? He's broken his own British record. We know he's got talent, he did finish fifth in the Athens Olympic final.

arwebb
I was listening to an IAAF official on the radio the other day who said that the blades appeared to give Pretorius an advantage over able-bodied runners because of aerodynamics, based on their very early research. If that turns out to be the case, how on Earth can he be allowed to compete against able-bodied runners?
