OK - so the shortlist kind of fizzled - so if anyone really cares, all 4 bids will now progress to the final stage.

A more detailed 5 page PDF (or word doc) 'Bid Book' is now required.

With only 18 votes (what - is that like 10 real votes and 8 aliases??) maybe the final nail has been whacked into the GB fake Olympic bids coffin?

obviously you are no longer capable of running a successful competition. everyone knows that certain members have to put in bids and several delays have to be instituted to build suspense. one's that are rushed through are never interesting.

you didn't allow any time for drama to build--and you didn't create any either. for the next one create an elite body to make executive decisions, enter yourself into a bid to make it REALLY impartial, then override the body's votes, assume autocratic control, and bad mouth everyone while sending them misleading PMs.

then rig a few rounds of voting and voila-- a fun bid comp that will get pages of votes. nobody ever cared about the bids. not for one second.

Zaragoza 2030 bid is trying to make the people implicate themselves in the bid comp, like the Stadium election, although only 3 people have voted...

I thought just once I'd try to go all legit (well, admittedly nearly all Kiruna's votes come from various versions of me - try to guess!).

Sigh.

Fine - for the World Expo bid comp myself, Krow and maybe Roltel can form an overseeing 'cartel' and ruin everyone's hard work.
