It's the Japanese answer to "we will NOT bid again." "300 of our citizens will commit mass-harakiri if you do not give us the Games!!' Ha! That'll send a message to the IOC.

Oh, yeah. Well, the opposite can be said for Nagano, which had its first bid for the Winter Olympics won.

Well, that's because Samaranch knew that the mover/developer behind the Nagano bid, was a front man for the Japanese Imperial family which had lands around the Olympics venues.

No kidding, baron. Of course, some of us "know" in the end, that the Nagano bid was more than it looks.

Anyway, getting back to the topic at hand, it will be interesting if Korea would try its hand again to bid for the Summer Olympics, whether its 2014 Winter Olympics bid (with PyeongChang) succeeds or fails.

Today is the 19th anniversary of Korea's first and only Olympic Games in 1988 at Seoul. With so many news recently about the country trying to get its first Winter Olympics, will they bid again for 2018? Time will only tell, especially when that GamesBids article came out about what may have occurred with its 2010 and 2014 bids over there.

I still think the U.S were robbed of the team bronze medal and Silivas should have won All-Around Gold.

Gymnastics Team Finals-Judges made a 0.5 deduction only because the US Alternate, Rhonda Faehn, was standing on the podium, she was helping put the springboards away so I don't know why they would deduct over that, if it weren't for that deduction then US would have won Team Bronze, not East Germany.
