Beentheredoneit, what part of Serbia are you from?  I am sure you are familiar with Bosnia's $350 billion lawsuit against Serbia for aggression and genocide, that is going to be finalized by 2006.

Soon, the Olympics will be pocket change for us. :D

Telecommunications: http://www.telecom.ba

yes! yes, i mentioned that on my original post but i forgot to say this yesterday...and i thought it was $100 billion?...and didn't the defensive side try to negotiate by just building a $1 billion highway in the country or something?

$3.5-7 billion for Bosnia each year is going to be really sweet.....Bosnia can afford my $30 billion renewal plan in like 5-10 years. :P  :D    :;):

.....but the bad thing is that Serbia will be bankrupt, i feel sorry for the citizens of that country.

If S&M ends up being "bankrupt" like that, then who (or what) will control the country? UN?

Does S&M have that kind of money?

I read the interview about it 2-3 days ago and one of the defense's lawyer, one of the best from Serbia-Montenegro, said that if Serbia loses, many generations of Serbia will suffer and they will have to borrow money each year to pay off the lawsuit.

I am Australian and no need for nationalistic definition, is that what started your war in a first place, who is who??????????

Irrelevant, to join Europe you have to grow up first.

ciao

Since you know so much about Bosnia you can tell us what started the war, you Serbian refugee in Australia.

Just catching up on this thread.  And already there is in-fighting here.

For a while I thought Sarajevo might make a nice repeat Winter G. host.  But as 'beentheredoneit' has sai -- there is no money.  (ANd of course, DJ Bungi attacks him.)

I think Bosnia/Sarajevo should first get fiscally healthy again -i.e., have some money for new hotels ,etc.  And even if Saudi Arabia will pump in some money, that it will not turn into a Moslem fundamentalist state.  I mean, how do you expect the Ice Dancing women to dress?  In chadors?  Uh-ah.  Ain't gonna cut it.

However, I remember Sarajevo's Opening Ceremony as being a very pure, beautiful one.

Baron-pierreIV, he irritates me because he is talking like Sarajevo is going to host the Olympics tomorrow.  2014(!) is 10 years from now and seriuosly....do you not think it will be ready for another Olympics 19 years after the war?  And by that time Bosnia-Herzegovina will be in the EU!

Saudi Arabia can donate all the money they want but Bosnia-Herzegovina will never become a fundamentalist state; it goes against our tradition (no church was destoyed on Muslims' side during the war or any other religious establishment).

Yes, they did pump a lot of money (approximately $550 million) into Bosnia-Herzegovina to reconstruct most of the 850 mosques that were destroyed in the war but now they are planning to start investing into businesses and luxurious hotels, especially in Sarajevo and surrounding mountains because of great winter tourism potential.
