Rob2012
The right decision I think. They'll be hard to beat and I now have a city to support for 2016. Sod impartiality.
nykfan845
OK, so I can finally get behind a single city! I hope Chicago can bring the Olympics back to the United States . . . . . . but if not there's always 2020
Kenadian
Good call by the USOC. LA had some advantages, but I think Chicago has a good case and they deserve a kick at the can. Now we wait for Copenhagen in 2009!

mattperiolat
Elated doesn't even begin to cover my emotions. My whole family is born and bred in Chicago so this is just... unreal. The Olympics on the shore of Lake Michigan. Granted, it's still a long road to hoe and I'm not looking past any of the other potential Candidate Cities, but for now, I just was to bask in the excitment. Congradulations to the Windy City. Now, if only we could do something about those damn Cubbies!
baron-pierreIV
I'm going to play my soundtrack of CHICAGO right now and mix that new cocktail, Stir-the-Soul! I bet that logo now would make a good shaker!! :
lpatron
And the Cubs won today 7-0!! If only they had beaten the Dodgers instead of the Reds...

baron-pierreIV
Well, didn't I call it? I think it might even have been an 10-1 or a unanimous vote. OK, this is how I see the road leading to 2009 ("C"hicago; vote in "C"openhagen. Good portent already!): 1. PyongChang wins 2014 in July. That weakens Tokyo's bid; but Tokyo stays in. 2. Hilary, Obama, Giuliani or Romney goes to the White House next year. All positive for a Chicago bid!! 3. earlly 2009 - US involvement in Iraq ends. Our boys and gals come home. 4. October 2009, Copenhagen - Chicago wins it in the 2nd round!!
Koolshundle
Im so proud of my city. Chicago was always the underdog from the very beginning, first under New York, then San Francisco, and the Los Angeles. We're almost there Chicago! Cant wait to show the world our beautiful city.
