Guardian 22 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 The United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) has given the IOC and six other such leaders with the honor of being "champions of the Earth" for this year. Believe it or not, that includes former US vice-president Al Gore. And, speaking of Gore, it was just reported that he could be a nominee for this year's Nobel Peace Prize, too.
