Bid Document Ii On Its Way To Lausanne

Jan 7th, the Bid Document II of the Salzburg 2014 Bid was sent on its way to Lausanne. The opening ceremony of the final competition of the Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen - also skijumping venue for 2014 - was used for a little celebrations. Traditionally the flags of the athletes' countries are brought into the stadium of the skijump by skiers every year. The last flag - this year - was the Salzburg 2014 Candidate City flag. A young skier of the local skiclub brought the flag and the Bid Document II into the stadium and gave it to the Federal President of Austria Heinz Fischer, the Governour Gabi Burgstaller and the Salzburg 2014 CEO Fedor Radmann. About 15 000 fans in the stadium celebrated this moment. On its way to Lausanne the Bid Document was brought to the mayor of Salzburg and to the Königssee region in Germany later. Tomorrow the Document will be handed over to the IOC. On Friday it should be available on the Salzburg 2014 homepage.
