Hi Bob,

do you have the RBC Paralympic pin available for trading? Or do you have any contact details you can share?

Regards, Timo.

I got the pin from a friend that works at one of the local branches.

However, you might try sending an e-mail to ....

rbcolympians@rbc.com

When I asked they were glad to send me the 2010 Olympic Pin. The Paralympic pin was not out at that time. Maybe now if you asked they would send you one.

Bob

Hello Bob,

You can send an email to Bell: info.branding@bell.ca

I have recieved 4 different pins from the brand manager Louis Castonguay.

Are you interested in trading some pins?

Regards, Timo.

Timo,

Thank you very much for the e-mail address. I just sent a request!

Yes, I would be interested in trading pins. I don't have much to trade at the moment.

I have an extra RBC 3 Years to Go Olympic pin, a Whistler Resort pin, a British Columbia Government pin and a Spirit 2010 pin. I also have a few duplicate retail pins, such as the Olympic Store pin (shopping bag) and the Olympic Rings pin.

I was lucky enough to find these three pins at Value Village a few days ago: a 2006 Petro Canada COC sponsorship pin, a Calgary '88 Hockey pin, and a Montreal '76 logo pin:

Also, as for 2010 pins, a few months ago I contacted the BC Lottery Corporation about pins. At that time they e-mailed me back saying they didn't have any pins. However, it sems my message has been circulating around their offices and, about a week ago, I received an e-mail back saying they are sending some in the mail. If anyone's interested to know, I contacted BCLC through their website if you are on a hunt for pins from them. Radar the pin guy has a photo of the BCLC pins on his site but doesn't have any in his collection.

I received 3 pins from BC Lottery Corporation today ...

1. one with the 2010 LOGO

2. one with the maple leaf/olympic torch LOGO

3. one "SportsFunder" pin

The accompaning letter said "At this time we have very limited designs and inventory. We do not anticipate adding to our inventory in the near future"

I will include photos at a later time.

London Drugs is now selling the 2010 Olympic Pins.

The downtown store (corner of Georgia and Granville) has one the best supplies in the city, including the hard to find COMPLETE Whistler set and the latest Canada Day (limited to 1000) and Pewter colored cutout logo pin.

I picked up an official 2010 Collectors Pin Bag at the Olympic Store today. It is very nice.

It is a blue zippered bag with the 2010 Logo, "Vancouver 2010" and Oympic Rings embroidered on the front. The bag is approximately 9 1/2x 12 1/2 inches (25x32 cm). It has a handle and removable carrying strap.

Inside there are 3 foldout felt pages with cloth inserts to protect the pins from scratching each other. There is a small zippered bags for holding other pins and holders at the back for pens and other miscellaneous items.

Plenty of room to hold all 118 pins currently issued and room for more.

By the way, they still have some Olympic Bag pins in stock!

Apparently the bags are made locally in Vancouver.

I was away from home for a few weeks and just got back. Waiting on my desk were two envelopes from BCLC. One envelope had one 2010/BCLC pin. The other envelope had one 2010/BCLC pin, three COC/BCLC pins, and two SportsFunder pins! I like how they are sucking up thanks to their recent contraversies.

I still haven't heard anything from McDonald's. Will try them again for pins.

If you are looking for pin trading supplies, this might be a little far to go but good to check out if you are in the area, try Disneyland. I was there a few weeks ago and pin trading took off like crazy down there. There are pin stands throughout the park that sell Disney pins and stuff like pin bags and pin books, etc. Also try online for general pin collecting supplies.

I received 2 pins from RONA today ... one with the Ilanaaq Logo and one with the Maple Leaf/Torch Logo.

I now have all my retail pins mounted in 2 - Official 2010 Collectors Pin Bags. I preferred to mount my pins in visually pleasing manner without crowding them too much ... so I found I needed the 2nd bag. That also gives me lots of room for new additions ... particularly new flag pins.

I have all my coroporate and government pins mounted in a small Collectors Pin Bag I got off e-Bay for US$12 (plus shipping).

So ... bring on new pins.

By the way, the Olympic Store is sold out of Canada Day and 1000 Days To Go pins. Another hot pin apparently is the Saint Patrick's Day Hat with the flashing lights.

Bob,

Get any new pins? I noticed on Radar's site that Haworth and Canadian Pacific both have pins now. Bugs me that I didn't swing by CP's head office while I was in Calgary a week and a half ago, and I could've picked up a couple of pins.

Nothing new lately. A friend got me a Vancouver City pin, but he hasn't dropped it off yet. Do you have any new contact snail mail or email addresses?
