From Spurs' point of view that draw doesn't look nice, especially when you consider that our away games are against Leverkusen and Besiktas!

However, having the tricky teams away might be advantageous. Three teams go through from each group, so having the two easier teams at home should mean six easyish points and this should be enough to get us to the knockout stages.

COYS!!

Oh yeh, going to Istanbul is a scary prospect, but having Besiktas at the Lane wouldn't be easy either. Get six points at home against the easier sides and maybe nick a draw in one of our tough away games and we'll definately be sorted.

0-2 in Turkey!!! Wohhoooooooooooo! COYS!!

Annoyed I couldn't watch it as I was at work. But happy nonetheless.

Tottenham doing well in Europe and Bromley top of the league by five-points and one match away from the first round of the FA Cup.

If Spurs can pick up their league form I'll be as happy as Larry (whoever he is?!)

Osasuna is the king of draws...

0-0 against Stade Rennais last year in Pamplona. 0-0 in Hamburg. 1-1 in Pamplona against the Hamburg. 2-2 in Trabzon. 0-0 in Pamplona against the Trabzonspor. Now again, 0-0 against Heerenveen in Pamplona... <_<

That 0-0 was to be expected since Heerenveen hasn't scored a goal in any competition in ages and Osasuna can only draw.

Osasuna can only draw?

Yes, what a pity! :( Bremen played so badly. I cant believe it, but they have been lucky against Ajax and Alkmaar already.

If only they had scored an away goal... Espanyol showed to be easily manageable for Benfica, in the previous round, had Benfica played at their best physical capacity (they scored two away goals when losingfor 3-0 and couldn't score a home goal?!) I think Espanyol have been also lucky with the bad luck of their opponents.

The Champions League final won't provide it, but the UEFA Cup final will -- a one-nation final: Sevilla vs. Espanyol. The cup will definitely stay in Spain... but in Seville?

Poor Bremen (stupid Klose  )

siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

It is.

Congratulations, Seville. Quite a feat there, with two consecutive UEFA Cups (repeating Real Madrid's 85-86 back-to-back wins) and three pieces of European silverware in two years.

Sad for Espanyol though, especially for unlucky Valverde :(
