MercifulZeus!
Castel Gandolfo is the location of the international rowing centre which played host to the rowing regatta of the 1960 Rome Games.

MercifulZeus!
Nothing more than a big lake really, by the looks of it on Google Earth.
Sir Rols
After looking through wikipedia at different catholic sites, why are the rings on the Castle Gandolfo seal. After trying to hunt down the answer, I've concluded Merciful Zeus is right. It IS a reference to its role in the 1960 games _the coat of arms aren't the Pope's, but rather for the municipality of Castel Gandolfo. Oh boy, the Opus Dei-IOC connection has at last been unmasked!! Quick, tell Silas to change targets!! Ah, so I take it the De Coubertin's are the true keepers of the secrets of the Priory of Sion? And if you're the current title holder, baron, does that make you the Holy Grail, then last descendent of Christ?

However, it's revelation to the world is being considered for whichever Opening Ceremony will take it first.

Apparently Castelgandolfo is part of Vatican territory. However, when the Pope is not in residence, I wonder if the wizard Gandolf is?
