Cobi 2
Unfortunately Manolo MartÃnez didn't do very well, as he finished in 9th position with 19,68 m. He finished 4th in Edmonton 2001, 4th in Athens 2004 and 5th in Munich 2002. He seems to have very bad luck outdoors!
PYRROS2004 0
From which year will they organize it ever 2 years? Because I think I heard Barcelona is 2008.
Rei 9
it's gonna be Barcelona 2010
Olympian2004 511
congrats to Bartels.. Germany is gonna to lead these championships. Oh, that would be very nice. But sadly, it's absolutely unrealistic. Bartels' performance doesn't represent the performance of the whole German team -- the formerly prestigious German athletics are in a pretty sorry state currently (only 4 respectively 5 medals at the past two World Championships and only two silver medals in Athens 2004). You think you've got it bad. Three medals for Great Britain at last year's World Championships and only two in Paris. If we get eight to ten medals of any colour this week, that is success. Cobi 2
First medal for Spain! Paquillo Fernández has won gold in 20 km walk with 1:19:09. Unfortunately just a few minutes ago another Spanish, Juanma Molina (bronze in Helsinki), was disqualified in the very same race. BenjamÃn Sánchez has finished in 13th position. So Spain gold, Russia silver and Portugal bronze
arwebb 133
Take what you can get. We have to.
arwebb 133
And we'll certainly take a silver medal from 19 year old Greg Rutherford in the long jump. That will do for starters.
