Since the IOC gets such a hard on talking about legacy this would be a good place to start? If they are using other Albertville 92 venues they may as well use as many as they can. How are you? Main arena at Albertville? Which one -- the one used for Figure Skating? If so, that, like the Ceremonies arena, were only temporary and even the Patinage arena was IIRC torn down. P.S. Was going thru my old files on Sunday -- and guess what? I came across our (then) Ulan Bator 2022 sketches and plans. And now, they are launching something (correct verbiage) Ulaanbatur something or other!! Quote

But Lyon doesn't the FULL complement of ideal (or even usable) venues for the demands of the Ice Events today. So unless Lyon wants to have the other 95% in their city (one major one is already 1,000km away), then they're going to have to distribute the lesser sports if they won't build new stadia for them within Lyon's boundaries. Lyon has the venues needed and the plan has been approved by the IOC Executive Board. There is still on going discussions with the IF to fine tune the allocation of the venues. 1 Quote
