Rob2012 Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 If we're going to have a Summer Games equivalent of curling, I'd much prefer something tactical and engrossing in the same way curling is. (i.e build a snooker hall!!) Bowling seems like a very 1 dimensional sport from a spectator pov. 1 Quote
sebastien1214 Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 I have just one thing to say : why not ? Quote

I'll never forgive Estanguet for putting breakdancing in place of pétanque. A game of boules where we beheaded Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette would have been much more fitting... 1 Quote

And of course lawn bowls has its place in the Commonwealth Games too. It just occurred to me while I was watching the curling that the only other time I'm in that kind of headspace watching sport is when the snooker's on. It's a nice place to be. Whatever, I'd take any of snooker, bowls or petanque over ten pin bowling. Quote

And ironically (I don’t know if this was mentioned in the video - I haven’t watched it), ten pin bowls has also featured in the commies - at KL ‘98. And I think it’s been in the Asian Games. Quote
