Sir Rols Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 Some great footage coming from them, but every event… Whhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Quote
Sir Rols Posted February 11 Author Report Posted February 11 I thought the vuvzelas were part of the atmosphere. The drone buzz? It’s just like a swarm of wasps;s overlaying the action footage. Surely the OBS should be able to filter it out somehow in the audio processing? Quote
Josh0108 Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Who's even supplying those drones (because the previous provider, Intel, is no longer a TOP partner)? Quote
Rob2012 Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Can't say I've really noticed, probably will now though, so thanks. Vuvuzelas were infinitely worse (yeah it's their crowd culture, doesn't mean I had to like it!). Quote
StefanMUC Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 Yeah, a bit annoying - our dog is always irritated and tries to find the fly/mosquito that would create the sound… But the visuals are really impressive, though I always hope none of them crashes on the track or even an athlete. Quote

yoshi Posted February 11 Report Posted February 11 I'm guessing you're not too keen on the drone footage then Quote

Apparently, they’re custom manufactured by a Dutch company called Dutch Drone Gods. THIS IS WHAT’S BEHIND THE SPECTACULAR FPV DRONE SHOTS AT THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES As far I can tell, Intel have only done the light show display drones used in the PyeongChang and Tokyo opening ceremonies. Dutch Drone Gods have provided the broadcasting drones since Paris Edited February 12 by Sir Rols 1 1 Quote
Brekkie Boy Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 Absolutely - and the worst thing is that they don't actually provide much better shots. Most of the snowboard cross shots from behind were far poorer than the traditional shots from in front. Similarly in the sliding events the traditional camera shots along the track work much better than following them from behind. Quote
