They would've and should've qualified again had they defeated the South Korean duo of Kim Seon-yeong and Jeong Yeong-seok in their OQT. Had that happened, surely the Nine Network would air their first match live versus Sweden's duo Wednesday, February 4. Would've been also 55 Australian Winter Olympians there. Quote

A reminder to everyone that snowboarding is still "extreme" in its potential for things to go horribly wrong. You do lose breath sometimes when you see these "kids" (yes I'm twice as old as most of them) past the point of safety...as they do. Quote

There’s so many, they’re all so similar (slide-jump-contort) and all so technical. Anyway, Scotty James qualified top in the snowboard halfpipe overnight. Let’s hope he doesn’t succumb to the same curse as got Jakara. And I quite like the halfpipe - still technical, but a bit different snd more spectacular IMO Quote

Anyway, another nice morning surprise with snowboard cross. It’s always half a lottery anyway, but so fun to watch. This’ll be a great event to watch on the replays, even knowing the result now. But at least Jakara wasn’t a dark horse in the dual moguls, and it more than made up for her disappointment in the freestyle event. And that takes us to our best gold haul ever in a winter games. Definitely no accident as to see why the Nine Network, aka Channel 9, and Stan Sport decided to base its studios and calling the action for those sports there with the likes of past Winter Olympic gold medalist Lydia Lassila as opposed to calling them back in Nine's Sydney studios.
