SportLightning Posted November 28, 2025 Report Posted November 28, 2025 We are less than a week from today to find out who will host the UEFA Women's Euro 2029. Three bids are in the running to host are: Germany, the joint Denmark-Sweden bid and Poland. Italy and Portugal dropped out from bidding. Who do you think will host? My guess would be Poland. Quote
yoshi Posted November 28, 2025 Report Posted November 28, 2025 I didn't know Italy and Portugal had dropped out, that's a shame. I guess Italy went because they'll be building for 32, don't know why Portugal went. In that case, really hoping for Poland to get it. Germany and Denmark/Sweden will obviously do it well but they're a bit "been there done that". A Euro in Poland could really transform women's football across Central and Eastern Europe - it'll feel like a gamble for UEFA but it's well worth taking. Quote
yoshi Posted December 3, 2025 Report Posted December 3, 2025 (edited) Germany to host 2029 Women's Euros - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c8jwgeymy0po Germany wins, unsurprisingly. Can't really say that giving an international football tournament to Germany is ever a wrong decision, but I feel like this might be an opportunity missed - especially with the others getting so few votes, that feels quite unjust tbh. Not likely to encourage them. Still we know Germany will host a great tournament with strong crowds because they always do, so like I say it can't be a wrong decision Edited December 4, 2025 by yoshi Quote
Rei Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 I hope they can bring on some new excitement to UEFA. Men's tournament has become more and more forgettable. I can hardly remember any relevant highlight from their last one. Quote
