What color would you assign as LA28's Official Color?

If you had the choice, what color would you assign to LA28 -- both the regular OGs and the Paralympics??  

Actually, I'd go with Persimmon!!

Right -- but it's hard to do a guessing game with a palette of colors.  Remember though, Munich 1972 had the Munich blue!!

And Atlanta had its Georgia Green. But from then onwards pretty well all of them have mixed and matched. That said, I do tend to associate a “dominant” colour with certain games - pink for London, for example.

I hope LA goes with some bright, “warm” colours - oranges and yellows and around that end of the colour spectrum. Some sea blues for contrast, perhaps.

My memory says we had three in a row with a dominant colour; Atlanta green, Sydney ocean blue, Athens sky blue. Beijing was where it stopped.

For LA? Maybe a sunkist pink. The original bid logo wasn't far off for me.

Yeah, blue dominated Sydney, but funnily enough, I remember Athens as a mix of blue and, was it terracotta? When I was doing the “look” collages, I was quite surprised how wide the supposed palettes were for those games - though probably mainly noticeable in the street banners than in-stadium looks.

Funny, I'd associate London with a single colour too - but purple. I know it never appeared on the logo and there were other colours but that felt like the defining look of the games on the TV.

I would indeed love to see LA adopting a look colour palette close to the one developed in the bid phase.

Beijing's was definitely Chinese red.  How could it not have been?  That fire-engine red is the auspicious color in Chinese culture. 

It was also the color of their "limp-noodle" runner logo as well as of the Torch and many other accoutrements of 2008.

I guess it's just difference in perspective. I tend to to think of venue dressing rather than logos when thinking of the colour. Beijing was a real wishy-washy mix of colours.

OK, I sit corrected.  I really thought there was more Red. 

But I guess they didn't want to do the over-kill message on Red being the Commie/Revolutionary color (and their flag).

Could this be a preview for the look of the games? I think the colors are incredibly nice so I sure hope so.

Another thing to note - the font's completely changed? Minus the emblems, the website is showing a complete brand overhaul which is incredibly interesting. I really like it so far: https://la28.org/en.html

I sorta like it, and the gradations do give me 1984-throwback vibes and would work as a “look”. But, well, “vibrant” would be an under-statement.

I hope they only keep the orange/pink variations, it's very Californian; I don't associate blue with Los Angeles at all, I associate that color with London or Paris, two totally different atmospheres from what one can hope for in Los Angeles.
