baron-pierreIV Posted October 19, 2025 Report Posted October 19, 2025 Just came across this story now. Blind SF Bay Area cricket player to represent the US at the Cricket for the Blind tournament in India. Bay area woman who's blind selected to Team USA for cricket World Cup | Watch I mean -- truly admirable -- grit, go for the gold and your dreams, and all that. But does it even pay the bills? 🤫 Or is it really just tilting at windmills? Can one just keep swatting the air if one can't see the ball?? Quote
Rob2012 Posted October 19, 2025 Report Posted October 19, 2025 (edited) Normally with these sports they put bells or something similar inside the ball so they can hear its trajectory. I'd imagine fielding is harder than batting or bowling tbh. Bowling I'd imagine is pretty similar to normal cricket, batting there's only a small area where the ball could conceivably be. Fielding though! Edited October 19, 2025 by Rob2012 Quote
