Wonder if it will be like Torino. At least this time around we won't hear "Thomas Bach, Olympic Champion, Fencing!"🏅 There will be a couple of nods to Torino at least. Don't check the other thread if you don't wanna spoil yourself which ones. Quote
SkiFreak Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 I just want to know when the US will contribute there ICE Agent segment of the ceremony. During the Peace song?🙃And when will the Donald receive his IOC Peace prize? Quote

Vance is still coming and I expect a couple of embarassing moments at the parade considering people are more poralized and unafraid of vocing their dislike for certain countries in these times Quote
Bear Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Just woke up, about to catch the last period of Czechia vs Switzerland, when I see there's an "Opening Ceremony Red Carpet" stream about to start on NBC? I click on it and it started with the OBS intro so this is an actual thing they're going to do prior to every ceremony now it seems. 1 Quote
AustralianFan Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 3 Hours to Go Only Category C Tickets @ €700 left now and to the Opening Ceremony. The more expensive ones at €1400 and €2026 now all gone. 1 Quote

rio2016man Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 Wow For the first time, the ceremony is decentralized, with athletes also parading in mountain venues like Cortina d'Ampezzo Quote

yoshi Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 The 4-yearly moment of discovering that winter is the difficult one has come early at TNT, where the presenter is struggling to turn a 1260 while indoors, on shoes, while standing up. This Olympics will be fun Quote

Citizen-Seth Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 No audience participation kits like in the last. Each audience member gets a small program booklet (which is very beautifully designed) along with a light-up bracelet to wear. Quote
yoshi Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 It really looks so odd seeing the San Siro looking like that. More than any other ceremony venue I can think of. Probably because it's a completely football specific stadium Quote

It's just occurred to me that I'm probably going to use up my quota of "Likes" within the first 20 minutes of the ceremony 🤓 Quote

I believe that ever since they started airing the ceremony live, we no longer get a live OBS world feed. That being said, they will probably publish the world feed broadcast over the weekend Quote
