Sir Rols Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 (edited) *WARNING/DISCLAIMER: The following post contains links to an Inside The Games article, and should be evaluated within the context of that publication’s recent ownership and editorial changes Okay, the caveat over, ITG today reports: Coventry commits to Olympic bid process review Which seems to be based on one remark she made: The newly elected president of the IOC has taken a measured approach to India's 2036 Summer Games candidacy. "I believe we should involve the membership in the selection of the future host and I have some ideas that I may share next week," she advanced in her post-vote press conference. Hardly committal. And why didn’t she suggst such during her campaign? But I guess we’ll see what she actually does. I might even forgive her some of her many shortcomings if she does bring back some sort of open bidding. Edited March 24 by Sir Rols Quote
krow Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 hmm i'll reserve judgement. reads like some bullshit i'd have written for the campaign. "you can just say anything, dangle any promise to get the compliance you need. you don't have to do it. the shared dopamine hit is enough to remind everyone how generous you are." Quote
