Gipper Posted February 18, 2025 Report Posted February 18, 2025 Thought it would be sweet for the design team to incorporate the Hollywood sign and hillside and place it on the front side in the place where the Eiffel Tower was placed on the Paris medals. Quote

Nah. That makes it look tacky. I don't know how the French were allowed to sneak the Eiffel in there but the obverse side of the Olympic medal (w/ Nike) should be left as is. Adding anything else just makes it too messy. They can go crazy with other designs for the Para medals. Besides, the City of LA is for all intents and legal purposes, the main host. "Hollywood" is just a district of LA and no events are being staged at West Hollywood. Quote

It's only in the stage version amongst the old lovers (Fraulein Schneider, the lady who runs the boarding house where the young ones stay). It was not used in the film version. These 2 Broadway actors overdo it. Quote
