Because what everyone knows as the Futurama theme song is actually a French "song", Psyché Rock.

Not exactly true, the Futurama theme is a separate composition by Christopher Tyng, but it has similiarities to Pierre Henry's "Psyché Rock".

Victor Le Masne's "Parade" must be the most-used theme song in Olympic and Paralympic history now. I mean, it was used at all three opening and closing ceremonies and at all medal ceremonies so far. And probably a few times in between. ;)

A solemn theatrical performance in the stadium and the crowd 200 metres away are going nuts over returning French athletes going back up Champs-Élysées some of whom are leaving early presumably to get rested for competition.

I know Le Masne version of La Marseillaise is very good but it wouldn't have hurted they used different versions in the ceremonies. Its a shame it was repeated except for the Opening Ceremony where they did bothered to have a more distinctive version.
