FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024

FIFA will be hosting the 10th FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan in Spetember-October. It will be the first Fifa event in a Central Asian Country. Initially, India, Iran, Morocco, Vietnam, United States, and Uzbekistan were the likely contenders to host the event. However, in April 2023 it was reported that Morocco might be given the hosting rights for the event as they were the only bid submitted to FIFA. But in June 2023 Uzbekistan were selected as the host nation for the mega event. 

Uzbekistan's enthusiasm and impressive track-record at hosting events were deemed as the reasons for Uzbekistan's selection. The Futsal World Cup 2024 already holds historic importance, and it will be the fourth time the event is hosted in Asia. The tournament matches will be played in the historic city of Tashkent, Andijan, and Bukhara.
