I came across this website. It shows a designer's idea for the medals. It's interesting and fun to see. It's unclear if these are an actual design submission or not.

I'm guessing not.  This is just some artist releasing his/her ideas on the medal design.  It says so in the 1st paragraph of text -- "unofficial."  I don't think the COJO would release the Official design of the medals via an artist's website. 

They would do it on the Official Milano-Cortina website--probably a few months before the Games.  This design kinda looks grotty.  Looks like mold or fungi.

I absolutely hate the medal design. Its like they went for the most unoffensive, bland option in purpose, just like most of the brand. Except for the mascots which I like, most of this look is playing it way too safe for my liking.
