ejaycat Posted August 6 Report Posted August 6 (edited) For shits and giggles, I just thought I'd do various photo dumps of Los Angeles (proper and metro). I like to go around and take pictures, of ANYTHING, on my weekends out and about, while running errands, while going out to eat, etc. I love enjoying my home town/ home metro... LA from the POV of a local. These will be recent photos, and photos stretching back a few years, all random and in no particular order. Los Angeles is no Paris or London, but it'll join their ranks as a 3rd time Summer Olympics host pretty soon. I don't know how long I'll make this thread, I may just keep adding to it. Thanks for indulging me. Edited August 6 by ejaycat 1 Quote

It definitely has grown over the years. Other general pics of downtown L.A. online don't really show the density like this pic here. Quote

They were both looking the same direction with the back of their heads aimed the same way, and I wanted to snap the picture then and there but the one guy turned his head and saw me. 16 hours ago, FYI said: Is this near downtown? Actually it's quite a ways from downtown, it's on the Westside, between Westwood and Beverly Hills. It's the Wilshire Corridor. Quote

At least he was smiling. Not like some other guys that would be pissed-off by you snapping their pic. 6 hours ago, ejaycat said: Actually it's quite a ways from downtown, it's on the Westside, between Westwood and Beverly Hills. ejaycat Posted August 7 Author Report Posted August 7 (edited) More random photos... SoFi stadium, back when they were prepping for Super Bowl LVI. And then several months later, when I went to a concert at the YouTube Theater. We saw Marc Almond. Edited August 7 by ejaycat 1 Quote

Bear Posted August 9 Report Posted August 9 I've admittedly have had second thoughts about moving back to LA to finish my bachelor's, but seeing all these pictures of LA makes me realize that the city will always be my home and that I'm making the right choice by staying here, so thanks 🙂 Quote

F uck the Seine. We don't have to copy a river flotilla opening ceremony. Let's face it, athletes floating down a river might have sounded good on paper or during a brainstorming session in a conference room, but the actual execution left something to be desired. And of course upstream, the Los Angeles River also looks like this (photos by me): No athletes going down that either. Quote
