As with the opening ceremonies, the politics of leftism and rightism are all over the map. In contrast to mocking Christianity, would mocking Islam have been acceptable or not? Is it compassionate to not mind a genetic male hitting a genetic female or is it compassionate to not want a genetic female to be hit by a genetic male? Notice, the IOC approved the participant, Imane Khelif, "anyway." Quote

There is not a single country in the world that "blasphemes" (call it what you want) Islam more than France but some want us to believe that we would be afraid of blaspheming Islam, it's hilarious. (well, it's less hilarious when we then think of those who literally lost their lives for this) Quote

There is a huge difference between enjoying a relationship in the inner pages of your magazine and doing so by surprise in front of the most-watched event in all of humanity. Don't pretend you don't understand that. Quote

Don't pretend you don't understand that. No, the only difference in view of your message and your past messages is that you are probably Islamophobic since when we refer to recent events linked to blasphemy about Islam, "surprisingly" *sic* you do not scream. Moreover, the fact that certain contributors on this forum seem so obsessed with Islam ("what would we have dared to do if it were Islam?" x1000) strongly makes me think that this obsession hides in some something unspeakable. baron-pierreIV Posted August 2, 2024 Report Posted August 2, 2024 Could you wear an official Phyrge cap over a hajib and still be a Frenchwoman -- or only an unofficial one?? Quote
guilherme b Posted August 2, 2024 Report Posted August 2, 2024 Your assumption is obviously wrong and makes no sense. My point in all my messages has always been that NO religion should be targeted during the Olympics. In fact, I always pointed to Rule 55 of the charter. This is the rule of the Olympics. It should always be enforced, not just when it's convenient to persecute a particular group. Ekecheiria. Quote

Your message history, starting with your first one which was disgusting, absolutely proves to everyone that your problem is with homosexuals and Muslims in general, not just in the context of ceremonies (and how would that be acceptable anyway?). No one believes you and it is not by using a Greek term whose true meaning you do not know - because that would require opening history books that you have never opened in your life - that you pass for someone intelligent. At no point did I attack any Muslims. In fact, I don't know where you got the idea of relating this to Islamophobia, other than your hatred and gaslighting. Honestly, I hope that a Muslim country hosts the Olympics one day. Perhaps then we will have a truly inclusive Olympics for athletes and religions. An Olympics where Muslims, Asians, and Africans are not relegated to supporting roles. Quote

My religion forbids these practices, and I have the right to consider them abominable. This does not prevent me from respecting each person's decision, but I do not accept it being flaunted in the face of families as a surprise identity flag, especially at the Olympics. The stance of the 2024 Olympics has been not only the promotion of this, but also to children. I do not retract a single word of what I wrote. 1 Quote

It seems someone on the committee decided to put a bunch of gays and make a totally woke ceremony, defending the progressive agenda, to then intermingle with athletes and try to relate it to the games. The result was an amalgamation of exaggerations with a circus of aberrations. The best of Paris, which could be expected through art, music, and ambiance, was thrown away. Instead of can-can, we have trisal sex; instead of eternal works of art, we have a gay Last Supper. Instead of ballet, we see vogue dancers waving their hands as if swatting flies in the middle of strokes. Instead of the best classical music and opera, techno and rock performances. 1 Quote
