Timing is really not the forte of Thomas Jolly. This segment is not dramatic enough to draw it that long. But Léon Marchand sure looks hot in a suit. Why do French guys always look so good in their tailored suits?

So, the cauldron is extinguished already, but the little teeny-tiny flame remains. I'm not sure whether that counts as moving or awkward.

Really a puzzling decision. Unless they come up with a really impressive "extinguishing of the flame" segment in the stadium.

Hazel Irvine just reported that the ceremony involves a huge number of projectors. They're inescapable!

There is no build-up, no excitement to this closing ceremony. Now we are just watching some random orchestra playing
