Yes, just four years ago that would have been unthinkable, at the height of the pandemic. But anyway, I feared that they would simply stage a very unceremonial "blowing out" of the lantern flame, without any moving music or anything. And so it happened.

Thank God that Paris staged much better Games than those ceremonies make it seem...

I'm afraid LA's ceremonies will be full of entertainment but that does not equal to creativity and culture. I hope they prove me wrong.
