kevzz Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 Gosh that’s such a cheap and unsanitary way of extinguishing the flame. Everyone’s saliva on each other Quote

The Grey Cup Halftime show, the final for the CFL is the same deal, a concert at halftime. Quote
Ikarus360 Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 This ceremony made me get tired of Anthem. Talk about a broken record. Quote
kevzz Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 Thomas Bach is shameless in squeezing himself amongst the athletes to blow out the flame first! 1 Quote
Michelle Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 The worst extinguishing of a flame I can ever remember. Remarkable. Quote
FYI Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 2 minutes ago, Sir Rols said: I just find that strange reasoning. How could one NOT have a subjective favourite, true one that touched them most positively at the time. Because anyone from past Games, that someone else here would say, were "just awful" may feel quite Au Contraire, if it also touched them most positively at the time. That's why I find it all not very objective, & really all just eye of the beholder. Quote
emre Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 best thing is we wont ever hear that metal horse medal music again ever wohoo Quote

Scotguy II Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 i will rate this closing ceremony an F--- sorry to those who will be claiming it as the best olympic ceremony ever but for me it has to be the worst and I never thought that after Tokyo and Beijing 2022 that I would say that Quote

But anyway, I feared that they would simply stage a very unceremonial "blowing out" of the lantern flame, without any moving music or anything. And so it happened. Thank God that Paris staged much better Games than those ceremonies make it seem... Quote
olimpicgamer Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 I'm afraid LA's ceremonies will be full of entertainment but that does not equal to creativity and culture. I hope they prove me wrong. Quote

Nacholympic Posted August 11, 2024 Report Posted August 11, 2024 I liked the final idea of extinguish of the flame. A bit more dramatic. Ok guys! See you for the Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony. Sorry to say, but it was the most boring closing ceremony ever Quote
